Over the last 4 years, I have voted against and pushed back on several development applications that would have substantially changed the character of established neighbourhoods, such as Cooksville, Munden Park, Gordon Woods, Huron Park and Erindale Village to name a few.

As an example, one of the proposals would have added close to 100 townhouses on what used to be 3 single family home lots. An egregious example of overbuilding. Although planning staff recommended it, I voted against it.

I support intensification to create more affordable housing; but it should be focused along transit corridors without unduly disturbing established neighbourhoods. That is a winning approach.
