Over the last four years, a record 20 acres of open green space has been acquired in Ward 7 by the City of Mississauga.
This is the single largest increase in green space in 50 years. When combined with the existing green space you get a total of 42 acres of green space along the Cooksville Creek. This is almost the same size as Huron Park
I will continue to push for a number of additional acquisitions that are currently in play to continue to acquire much needed green space.(Green space is acquired using developer levies and not property taxes)
